WELLNESS ACTIVITIES

Health and learning go hand in hand. Good health is essential to academic performance. It is vital to incorporate wellness breaks into the school day. The key is making it simple, like incorporating nutrition lessons into math classes or getting kids to move in ways that stimulate the brain (like standing up, placing one leg in front of the other, and bending forward). The goal is to get students to exercise more and eat better. By incorporating activity breaks into the school day, student can work towards achieving the recommended amount of physical activity required.
